Telkom makes doing business with them difficult!

I went to Telkom at Kenilworth Centre to take out a 4mb uncapped ADSL bundle. I was asked for ID and produced my driver's license. This was promptly rejected and was pointed to a notice that was apparently in the shop "forever". I indicated that I had previously done business with the same branch without my green ID document. She quite loudly stated that those colleagues obviously didn't like their jobs. My wife who was with me showed her ID document, but to no avail. How is it that one can go onto Telkom's website and subscribe online without the need for an ID document, but when going into their office you cannot transact without it??!!

I really wanted to do business with Telkom, but they make it so extremely difficult. I went home quite upset and decided to subscribe online with Afrihost. Within 2 minutes, literally, I had concluded my business.

Telkom really and I will not go back to them. I have two 8ta accounts which I now intend canceling, since its also Telkom.
