Charging for repairs under warranty!!!

I booked in my iPhone 5 (for a fault which existed when I first got the phone) a few weeks before the warranty expires. Vodacom now reports that dues to "scratches" on the phone the phone is now out of warranty and the repairs will be quoted for!

It's unfair that the iPhone only comes with a 1 year warranty - even under the 2 year Vodacom contract period - and now Vodacom wants to rob me for something I pay so much for every month! I changed services providers last year because I thought that I was switching to the best Service Provider in SA but now it looks like I have made a mistake!

Vodacom, please do not rip me off for a defective iPhone that your company should cover - rightfully under the warranty period!

This is unfair and wrong!

I could barely afford the iPhone 5 on contract and now you expect me to pay for damages that I did not cause!
