My Wife upgraded and extended her cell phone contract with MTN on Thursday the 28th November, and a sim swop was issued for her new phone. She was told that the sim swop would take up to 24hrs. By Saturday this had not taken effect. She went back on Saturday to the local service provider to find out that the sim swop had not even been officially logged in yet. This was done after a painful lengthy wait in the cue, to which proof of this emailed to her. To cut a long story cut short of numerous requests to follow it up and that it would take " 24hrs", it is Tuesday evening the 3rd Dec and this sim swop has still not taken affect. The 808 and othe help lines are, to say the least pathetically weak and to date its not possible to get though to an agent. There seems to be no proper MTN help line that a prompt and efficient agent can attend to situations like this.
With this experience and the numerous complains on this site, its sad and painful to being caught up in such a helpless situation. This is pathetically bad and unprofessional MTN.
