As a long-standing customer, I have tried, intermittently over a couple of weeks, to order a contract deal (for an iPhone 5C but I'm sure the model is irrelevant) via Vodacom's portal. The process goes a couple of pages in before I get this message:
"Unfortunately we are having technical issues on this page and are trying to resolve them as soon as possible. Please try again later or call 082 17844 to get the deal you are looking for."
This has been happening for a long time. How long does it take to fix a broken eCommerce portal? A few minutes if you have any sense at all. Weeks?
But it gets better. I then try to use the site's "email us" function. That lets me load the whole message, and then tells me it's not going to send because there's stuff in the knowledge base that relates to my query - but, don't worry, I can still send it anytime. But I can't. The "send" link won't respond. To top it all, I'm presented with a "please rate us" pop-up window - which is broken!
I have a hearing disability and cannot enter into a telephone conversation. So what do I do now? Go to the opposition? Hey, what a good idea!
And Vodacom wants to get into the big time with Neotel!
