I lost my phone on the 5th of October and I claimed with C Surance on the 7th of October. I did not get back any feedback until I called them two weeks later and they informed that my claim was rejected because I changed my sim card. I then went back to them to t tell them that the contract stated that the sim card had to be used in conjunction with the phone within 30 days prior to it being lost/. They then changed their story and said that the rejection was because of my account being in arrears, also they asked me to supply them with proof that my phone was in use when the sim card was changed. I then asked for their reasons to be put in writing, at this stage i was informed that an appeal was lodged with the underwriters of which it was only going to take 72 hours to get feedback. After not getting feedback after the 72 hours I then wrote an appeal letter and faxed it to them on the 5th of November. I am still waiting for my claim to be sorted and have been told I will get feedback as soon as possible on a daily basis. I have dealt with 5 different people (Adriaan, Morris, Tebogo, Brownwyn, Buhle) with no so far, where i have been given the run around.
