My parents moved into a retirement village two days ago and moved their Telkom phone line as well. According to their Telkom statement they should receive a free cordless phone when doing so. When the line was activated, the Telkom technician told them he does not deal with the cordless phones - they must contact the Post Office to get the cordless phone. The Post Office referred us back to Telkom, saying that they do not handle that. Where do we go from here? Who can assist? The Telkom help line only puts me on hold for hours on end.
