Extremely slow adsl

The adsl speeds were apparently upgraded this month. On the telkom website it now says I'm on 10mbps and 4mbps exchange so I assume the speeds remains unchanged then which I accept. But.. Prior to upgrading our line we used to get download speeds of 4mbps to 5mbps on ookla test always and anytime of the day. Ever since speeds have been upgraded I never get above 1.5mbps and mostly get download speeds of 0.5 to 0.8mbps. Is there a problem with my line? Or is this some temporary hiccup from their side. My internet is so slow its unusable at present. Sorry for the hellopeter complain but was holding on the customer service line for more than 30minutes with no service and got too frustrated with the useless telkom call center. If the line speed isn't something quickly correctable and the new speed for a 4/10meg line then cancel my connection!
