Disgusting attitude

I upgraded my contract last year with VODACOM, however during the latter part of the year the keypad buttons stared falling off and in December my memory card was erased stating there was error. I reported the matter to my VODACOM store when the keypad started to come apart and then booked it in after the memory loss issue. It is a blackberry 9900. It has been gone for three weeks already and now the technician informs me that the phone is water damaged. This is not possible and definitely not acceptable. There is no possible way my phone could be water damaged. Yet they want me to pay for all repairs. This is my first experience with the repair department since my initial contract four years ago and this is appalling. I am certain my phone is not water damaged as I am the sole user and I have lost all my important pictures and recordings that I use for work.
