I applied for a limit increase on my credit card, but it was declined. I then phoned the ITC to check which company listed me as having a bad credit record. They said it was Vodacom, for an amount of R105. I phoned Vodacom to enquire about this. While I was talking to a consultant, who told me it was an uprade fee of R105.01, I saw that my 31 October 2013 debit order, which normally includes all three invoices' payments, included that amount of R105.01.
I then phoned the ITC again and explained this to them, and they said I should phone the Vodacom accounts department and have them sort it out. I phoned Vodacom and spoke to the accounts department, who said that, according to them, my account is in good standing. I asked them how this communication problem between them and the ITC can be solved, and they said I should phone their legal department. I then phoned the legal department, but no matter which option I selected, I couldn't speak to anyone who could help.
I must now lodge a dispute with the ITC to have this fixed - all because of R105.01 which was paid on time, but shows as being in arrears on the ITC's records. This is absolutely rediculous
