After speaking to numerous people I decided to stick to Vcom and upgrade my contract.

After holding for 9 minutes, I finally get an agent to assist. Knowing that the Iphone 5s is popular, I proceed to ask what they still have in stock. "Iphone 5s Space Grey and Silver 16gig version" is the answer.

16gig Space Grey is exactly what I want, and ask for it on the Smart S contract, the whole process going down very smoothly.

As per Vcom website, they claim that if your order is processed before 12h00, you will receive the phone the next working day, wonderful, it's in stock, so I presume this will be the case.

Upon enquiring about delivery the next day, I'm told that the upgrade is on backorder, and new stock will be available middle of December. This after I was told the handset is IN STOCK.

I requested for the upgrade to be cancelled, as I'm not prepared to wait a month, and find it very bad for business when you sell a product, claiming that you have stock, only not to have.

I will unfortunately not be cancelling my Vcom contract, which ends in Feb 2014, and porting elsewhere, after more than 10 years of loyalty to you.
