Via a number of debit orders Platinum C3 took R1, 500 from my 4 year old son's bank account which contained Christmas money from his granny. As he does not transact every month we do not get a statement of the account and we have only realised now that this unauthorised transaction has has taken place over the last few months. Standard bank will not pay back the money even though they have allowed the direct debit to come off without our permission as they say it is our responsibility to check the statements (which we do not get on this type of account).
