Blacklisting of Cellphone

I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S3 in December 12.
On the 29th Oct 2013 my phone stop working. I have been running around trying to find out why. First thought it was the phone then Vodacom told me it is blacklisted, i need to go to my current provider which is cellc, they then told me Telkom blacklisted my phone! THe phone has never been reported as.
I have the box and everything. How can Telkom mobile just blacklist peoples phones?? I have seen a few complaints in this regard! I am now struggling to get it unblacklisted.
CellC and vodacom requires police case numbers and proof before they blacklist phone, why does Telkom mobile just blacklist it.
