I bought airtime through Absa internet banking for R110 on 31/10/13 and another R110 on 01/11/13. I was not credited for both purchases. I phoned customer care, they referred me to the bank. The Absa bank referred me back to the service provider as the money was paid to vodacom and the bank statement shows. I kept phoning customer care until they credited me with R110 on Tuesday the 12/11/13. I phoned back to ask about my other R110. They then credited me on the same day but my problem is the sms i received after the second R110 was credited. "Dear Customer, Kindly be advised that i have credited your account with R110 as a gesture of goodwill. In future please contact Standard Bank Cellular Department to investigate your recharge problem via Standard Bank, Kind regards Care Craig-Paul Solomons" Firstly, I dont understand why Standard Bank is involved (I told told them I used Absa to do the purchase) or why should they refer me to the Bank if the Bank already paid them the money. Secondly, why is my airtime a gesture of goodwill because I paid for it and I have the proof of payment.
