I have been with Vodacom for over 6 years. My phone broke yesterday and I am due for upgrade next month. Being a doctor, I need a phone before that. I phoned the handset upgrade centre and the person receiving the call spoke to his manager who approved an early upgrade. He asked me which phone I wanted and said he would phone me back in 15 minutes to let me know what is available. I missed his call, and phoned back immediately. The person who answered said I do not qualify for upgrade and would not put me through to a manager or supervisor as noone was available. Multiple calls later and still no luck. Bye Vodacom.
