Wrongful handover, callcenter dropping calls

I have received an account from attorneys requesting an amout for non payment. The attorney could not help me by giving me the cell number in question, date it was handed to them, or ANYTHING. All they said was 'phone cell-c (they couldn't provide me with a tel number.) After some research i found a number of the call center, 3 tries later and I get cut off everytime. I have spent the last 3 hours on the phone and must explain my situation every time. no one can help advance and they just go off the subject. please can someone phone me instead, as this lack of understanding is becoming very expensive.
