Handed over on zero balance account

I send a request to cancel my account as I'll be moving at the end of Nov and wont have signal where I'll be.
Siboniso Sibisi send me a ref nr SREQ_107617426 and also telephonically confirmed that my account is up to date and can be closed @ end Nov.
On the 5 of Nov I get a SMS from MBD saying that my account is handed over. Well I tried twice to phone and the phone rang for more than 5 mins everytime with out me being able to speak to actual person.
I then phoned Neotel and the call centre guy Happy Shibambu said my account is up to date and his supervisor (Joyce) will give me a call back within the hour. Im still waiting.
2 hours later I then send a email to talk2us email address, and with a quick response I'm assured that my account is update date but they have no idea why its handed over and they will provide feedback ASAP.
Im still waiting for this feedback almost 48 hours later.
Im in the process of buying property and what Im worried about now is that the bank picks up on this stupid Neotel mistake and they refuse my application because of me being handed over!
I want confirmation that my account is not at MBD anymore and that my credit record was not affected in any way. Thx
