Incorrect banking details

I would like to share with you what is happening to me.

i open a contract with MTN purchasing a tablet and data. due to my travelling, i came back in South Africa last week and I plug the sim card in and it was blocked. i phone MTN and i discovered that i owe MTN almost 10k!
whoever insert the banking details did not take care of assuring that it was correct, therefore for almost 10months i have not paid!
because i could not check what was going on (and still today i dont know!) in one month i spent almost 5k of data bundle... but i was not here!

the cherry on the cake is that MTN did not tried to contact me anyhow (and i have 3 email address and 2 cellphone n!) - if i did not phoned them to inquire, today i still would not know what happen!

as of today, i have not received any call from MTN regarding this issue, besides someone trying to settle the account because it is in the contract. however in the contract the information are correct and not on your system... who is in fault now?

ps. i must say that MTN did a wonderful service in the beginning - i got my contract up and running in less than a week. i must say it is pity for such company to have this bad reputation.
