I procured an Apple iPhone from 8ta in June and just recently the charger has stopped working. I looked at Apple's online warranty statement relevant to South Africa and there they stipulate that Apple branded accessories included in the original box are covered for 1 year.
8ta has turned around and said the charger is not included in the warranty and I will have to purchase a replacement.
The cheapest price I have seen for a replacement is on-line, at R349 excluding shipping.
This is unacceptable. Why must I pay for a replacement when it is clearly stated that Apple does warranty the charger.
