Unscrupulous Business Practice

I have an internet data contract with Telkom Mobile, due to circumstances out of my control their payment via debit order on 1-10-2013 for R 252.00 was rejected by my bank. 14 days later a debit order, via a company call Nudebt, was processed through my account for R 503.00.

On investigation I found that this company is a debit collection company that services Telkom Mobile and they were instructed by Telkom Mobile to recover monies from me.

Throughout these 14 days I did not receive any communication from either Telkom Mobile or Nudebt regarding my outstanding payment, and where & how I could make payment or that a new debit order was going to be processed via a 3rd party. No, monies almost double the amount outstanding for 14 days, was just taken from my bank account without any notification or permission.

According to Cherylyn from Nudebt, this is legal & I should contact Telkom Mobile regarding passed my bank account details onto them.

I've tried now for 3 days now to contact Telkom Mobile accounts department to discuss this issue but only get as far as their call centre & get a standard answer, "Accounts is the back-office & they don't take calls "...
