From phoneline to ADSL now DEAD

So, I recently moved my Telkom service to a new address. I had an issue with getting Telkom to switch the line on... but Thankfully they got it working in a jiffy. Then I requested that my ADSL must be activated on the same line. I got the sms that the ADSL line was activated and was so impressed I cancelled my account at MWEB and took Telkom as my service provider. Got home turned on the ADSL router, plugged in the phone... Low and Behold LINE DEAD. I have no idea how I can go from "your ADSL is active" to DEAD line. Please sort this out A.S.A.P.
