I did a change of ownership at a store over 4 years ago but it was never processed properly. The store closed down last year so I have no choice but to deal with them over the phone. I finally manage to find out what I need to sort out the ID number and sent the documents. I have waited for over a month before they contacted me. On Friday, 04 October I received a call from legal asking for my bank statement and payslip (not mentioned on the list of documents with previous phone call). I told them I would send it on Monday, 07 October. Monday was a blue Monday and I never got to the bank before they closed, but by about 5pm my line was blocked. Both the lines I have with Cell C are now blocked and they refuse to open it until they have processed the change of ownership. I sent the documents today, 08 October but when I phoned to ask that they unblock my lines, I was told that it won't happen today. After receiving the documents they will first send it to a different department and once they have finished the entire process, my lines will be activated. This is unacceptable as it was their mistake in the first place. I am now paying for their incompetence with no phone.
