I phoned the Neotel call centre to change my banking details.
Fact is the only reason I still have a Neotel account is to keep my email address, so I pay monthly without issue. Now to change my banking details on my Neotel account, they require either bank statements or a letter from the bank to do so.
I will NOT send a bank statement as it is none of their business and I will not get a letter from the bank to ask permission to change my bank details. The fact is, it is an instruction that I want to give Neotel and they don't want to accept that.
I then told the call centre person to cancel my Neotel contract, which is on a month-to-month basis, but now there is a whole new procedure of cancellation letters etc that needs to be followed.
Newsflash for Neotel: A call centre is supposed to cut down on paperwork. There are voice recordings that can be used as legal contracts.
This is unacceptable and I would love to speak to someone in this regard. I am however 100% sure that I ight receive some idiotic written reply on this forum, but I will not be contacted telephonically on my cell as I dont use the Neotel number.
