For the last week our ADSL line has been dropping. At times during the day it is unuseable. We run a small business from home and an internet connection is vital.
On Monday a technician came round and said we were too far from our exchange and need to drop our line rate from 3megs to 1. This even though we have been on a 3 meg line for years with no problems. As soon as the Telkom techie left the problem persisted.
I have phoned the Telkom fault line numerous times since Monday to try report another fault and get the techie to come look at it again. Each time I phone the operator promises the fault has been made urgent but still no one has arrived. Yesterday I got a call from Telkom asking if I still had a fault with my line. When I said yes and tried to get an idea of when the technician would come the caller hung up!
I am beyond frustrated with continious service from Telkom! If only there was another option.
