Is it that difficult to comfirm employment

I went in the game store to apply for a cellc contract on the 25th of September, I was informed of what is required to open a contract, no problem-the following day I went t submit all the necessary docs. I then recieved a call fromNkululeko who was the consultant assisting me to inform me that they need another bank statement, still went on the 27th to drop off another bank statement as I was told credit vetting needed it BUT recieved a call to be told that my employer hr is not answering the phone and therefor there is nothing that can be done. I still had hope, Monday enquired if hr was still not picking up... Nkuli said she has been trying to call hr and got through to confirm with hr but the credit vetting is struggling to get through. My Question to vetting: is there no other way to varify employment and if its possible for hr not to answer the phone over 8days now? Isn't the bank statement enough proofing there is a salary deposited every month and a payslip. Mind due I work for another telecommunication company... I am shocked. I wish Nkululeko was in vetting as she has peoples skills and knows what delighting customers is all about as she really tried her best to assist
