On 1 August 2013 I received a LTE SIM card and Huawei wireless router from Selldirect (on behalf of 8Ta) on the Home/Office LTE 36month package.
Selldirect eventually activated the SIM card on 5 August (they don't work weekends or take the initiative to activate on delivery - customers must call in).
After activation the SIM card never correctly synced with the network and I was never able to transfer any data. The 8Ta call centre was unhelpful in finding a resolution.
So I returned the unit within the 14 day money back guarantee period (as advertised) to Telkom's Jhb City Retail Store on 8 Aug 2013 and received confirmation from Karabo Mahlaba.
I received no follow up from Telkom so I emailed Tashreeq Achmat at Selldirect on 21 August to request proof that the contract was cancelled. Unsurprisingly, I received no response.
On 25 September Telkom/8ta/Telkom Mobile pinched R652.97 from my account for services never rendered.
On 30 September I emailed [Email Removed] for resolution. I received a read receipt, but by 16:36 on 1 August 2013 still had no response.
This 'service' is so poor that I would strongly advise potential customers against dealing with 8Ta or Selldirect
