SIM SWOP PROVING TOO CHALLENGING FOR MTN STAFF

I took out a contract on my name. Since the new phone needed a micro-sim, I was told that first the number needed to be transferred from prepaid to contract, when this has happened, I will receive an sms and then I am to call the call centre again and request the sim swop. I never received the sms. Instead, my husbands phone was completely off for 3 days. During this time, I could not get through to a human being and kept having to punch my details in, to be assisted by a computer, which kept dropping my calls. I eventually spoke to several consultants (at present, 8 and counting) and not only did they not know what they are doing, they gave me attitude as well, as if I were to blame for this big mess. I heard several excuses as to why the sim swop has not happened - there was an error on the network, the sim card was faulty, the first network error was never resolved, I have to go to an MTN store (which I had already done twice). So my husband can't use his phone, and in the meantime, his business is suffering because he cannot be reached. Thanks for nothing MTN. If no resolution in the next 24 hours, I'm cancelling both our contracts. Clearly I'm not important enough!
