SLOW SERVICE regarding my telephone line

I contacted Telkom on the 13th of Septemeber regarding the transfer of my line to my new address. After about a week of being shunned between my ISP and Telkom regarding the migration/release of my line to Telkom it was found that Telkom did not process the order from my ISP. It took them a WEEK to figure this out!!! Now it has been said that the earliest that they can move my line is on the 7th of October 2013. This means that I am paying for a service that I have not used for almost a month. It is so easy for them to take your money, but when you want the service from them it is useless. I eventually found out last night that a friend of mine who stays around the corner from me phoned them yesterday to move his line and they will be installing it on the 2nd of October... So am I getting this right??? He gets the service completed within a week and I have been waiting nearly a month!!! Rediculous!!!
