ADSL Line conversion. - 85497169A

Not even sure it is worth writing a complaint about a company that only responds to 10% of reports logged to them. All I can say, is that Telkom doesnt know what Telkom is doing. My story is the same as many before me. I need an ADSL line for internet only. before getting this ADSL line, I first had to get a fixed line installed. That in itself was a nightmare, but after weeks of pure torture, and "waiting at home because the installer is on its way", Telkom finally managed to get the line installed. I then had to request the conversion, which I could only do 2 days after the line was installed, because it didnt show as completed on their pathetically slow system. when the conversion was requested (a self installation), I was advised that it will be done within 3 to 6 days... more than a week later, it is still not done. I spoke to a call centre agent this morning, who advised me that it has been done. came home, checked... not done... phoned the call centre again, and Sam said that the techinical team still has the order, and are still working on it, and that perhaps it will be done within the next 48 hours... I am saying again... Telkom doesnt know what Telkom is doing!!!
