Hello World,
I am a foreigner currently in South Africa on assignment for 2 years. I wanted to sign a ZAR 39/month databundle contract with Vodacom. For this I provided them with a letter from my employer stating that I am employed for 2 years with them. I also provided them with my proof of residence and three months bank statement.
Now I got a call from Vodacom shop saying that they need my full employment contract before they can approve the vodacom contract. I am reluctant to give my full employment contract as this has all the details about my benefits, salary etc. I alternatively gave them an offer that I can give them a ltter from the company once again stating that I have contract with them and also signed by me. The answer I got is still the same. They need my full employment contract. My employer is a well known international company.
WHAT DOES VODACOM THINK? AM I TAKING A HOUSING LOAN FROM THEM? Is VODACOM so arrogant that they think they can ask for whatever they want? Are they so inflexible that they cannot judge a person with the documents provided?
I am disappointed with the attitude of VODACOM and recommend against signing a contract with them. hey are arrongant
