On the 25th May I cancelled my Vodacom Contract and paid the contract up to date. To elaborate there are several ways to cancel a contract, first you must pay up the contract fee at the store, then you must fax the proof to Vodacom and then you must call the cancellation dept to cancel. All these steps were followed. It is now September and every month Vodacom has been taking off R 993.00 from my bank account. I have called the call centre only to be asked if I cancelled the contract properly. Why must a person cancel so many times? I asked the lady if I would get a refund and she said I will need to speak to the refund department and gave me their number. However, I can only speak to the refund department once my cancellation has been processed!! I have been with Vodacom for many years and always felt I was a valued client to them. It is very sad to see that you get great service when you buy something from them but when you want to cancel you have to phone around to all different departments and no one cares about the fact that they are taking money from my account. I really don't see why I should beg for my contract to be cancelled and for my money to be refunded.
