I am extremely displeased with the repair services that was done on my handset. I have this contract with them now for 6 months, and during this period the handset or more specifically, the battery has been problematic. Whenever I charged it fully, the battery heated up and after a few minutes, the battery was flat.
I then sent it away for repairs for the first time on 30/07/2013 so that the battery could be replaced. This job was received by Vodacom Repairs TygerValley on 01/08/2013. When it was returned to me on 06/08/2013 I took it home to charge, and during that time the same problem occurred with it. I once again booked it in for repairs on 19/08/2013.
This time it was sent to Vodacom Repairs TygerValley on 19/08/2013 and on 21/08/2013 they informed me that it required a Higher Level of Repairs, and that it will be sent to JHB for Further Assessment. When I phoned to query the job, the repairs shop informed me that they do not have any engineering notes on the handset.
I am currently struggling to keep the battery charged, and this is my primary contact method. I demand that Vodacom to replace my handset as it is insured and within my right according to the CPA of 2008.
