I purchased a data card for R799 on 11 Dec 2012 Neotel at Capricorn branch. The salesperson provided me with username and password to register the card, which didn't work. I went back to the store and was advised that I could be assisted only while the N1City office is open or go to N1 CIty direct; that Capricorn is not a Neotel branch and only sells Neotel products. The signage inside and outside the shop is Neotel only. I have been back to that store five times and the last time the manager told me that he was not the one who sold the datacard to me;that I should have been told that I had to sort out the registration within 7 days of purchase. On 29 Jul 2013 I called the Neotel call centre and was passed on to Portia, Muzi, Thabiso, Ken, Phumele, Litiwe and then asked to call Karabo in Joburg. I was asked to email a copy of the receipt, my ID copy and proof of address. I didn't have the latter with me and was asked to provide my home address and she'd register the card. She seems really helpful/willing to help, so I emailed. I have since resent the email on 05 Aug & 26 Aug. I received an email 2day advising that Karabo no longer works at Neotel. Card expires 11Dec13. HELP!!!
