Contract cancelled without customer authorisation

I have a cellphone contract with altech autopage and last week Tuesday my phone decided to loose network and i called the network provider that is cell c and they told me they will work on my problem within 14 days
( just imagine). I called Altech autopage telling them that i have i dont have network on phone and i called the network provider and the response was that i will have to wait for cell c to sort me out. Fine i waited and after work i decided to take the phone to the altech autopage outlet in Southgate Mall, when get there i was assisted by a gentleman called Shane, Shane explained to me that my contract was cancelled! I was shocked and didnt know who cancelled the contract. I asked Shane what can we do since my contract is cancelled he said to me will have to create a new contract and that since i ported my vodacom number to cell c then he will request cell c to bring back my number to a prepaid to he can open a new contract and that will take two days. 20/08/13 even today im still without my phone but no one could trace who confirmed contract cancellation. all i nid is my number they can take their contract and ill bring bck their phone. Clearly they not helpful.
