I received an sms on the 14/08/2013 that my package has been successfully migrated & I went in to the Benoni Lakeside Mtn branch to ask about this. I spoke to Wian who told me that I had upgraded my phone & this was done in Cape Town Cannalwalk. I was so shocked & amazed hearing about this that how was that possible as I had my ID with me & my sim card was with me still on my phone & I was in Benoni!!! Clearly MTN does not do their security checks to verify before doing upgrades!! Wian tried calling the Cape Town offices unsuccessfully.
I tried calling Cape Town myself & spoke to a lady called Sharon who told that she would transfer me to the guy who did this transaction - his name is Niaz Barton.
I could not get through to him.
I kept on calling MTN Benoni asking about my contract as it was now on open contract. I wanted them to assist me to put it back to my original top up package ofwhich they told me I would be charged to do that.

I had not got any feedback regarding this matter & I got a statement today of R429.00 which I WILL NOT PAY.As I ascalated this matter from the first day it happened. Today I called the store to ask if this matter was ascalated to their frauds dept
