Good day, My phone was recently, I was robbed in Cape Town City. My claim was approved for R7000 and my excess is R750, which is fine because that is the contract rules.
At the same time I also qualify for an upgrade, I thought perhaps they can offer me a better phone for my TALK 350 package. I suggested that I will not claim the R7000 phone but requested that they offer me better phone than what I am allowed. Vodacom can simply recover the difference from the R7000. All in all Vodacom would have benefited from this more than I would off.
I was old that the 2 packages cant be married all that bladie bladie blah... I might be the in the wrong here but jeez they don't have to complicate things.
So my plan... I will go in and collect a phone to the value of R7000, pay my R750 excess, cancel my TALK 350 contract, cancel my insurance at Vodasure and leave to another service provider.
I'm not being difficult but I seriously don't need 2 hones, nor am I willing to sell the extra phone. I am not a hawker or a cellphone dealer. I have always paid my bills timeously, never given them any reason to hunt me for payment. I have been a very good client.
