Incorrect porting and rica procedure, number dead

I ported my cellc number to MTN, tried to buy a sim from a MTN store, cant buy it without ricaing it, fine. Went to a retail store with paperwork, got a sim, rica'd it, went home, started porting procedure. Went through on the 15/08/2013. Put MTN sim into my phone, "number suspended message". So i phone department, "your number is not rica'd". Went back to store, "sorry, sim is rica'd, cannot re-rica". Now I have a sim, thatvis rica'd, but my number is not, the store cannot help me, over the phone, 48 hours later, 2 supervisors, probably 7 different callcentre guys, - 4 hours paying for the calls, drving up ad down to store, have store guys with on phone with mtn, still a dead number. How can I rica a sim, but the number needs to be rica'd? Now I have to drive to the nearest mtn store wich is 100km away, because the retail stores nor the rica helpdesk can help me, they keep on saying "you have to rica the number" but i have rica'd the sim before I ported. If I have to rica after the port, why wont mtn sell me a sim to start the process without Ricaing? Is a enless loop on not helping and "not my problem" I HAVE rica'd, but they say its not rica'd, and I cant port again???
