Virgin Mobile South Africa
Contract Not Cancelled

Virgin Mobile has 26 month contracts compared to the 24 of the other networks. My contract started October 2010 and decided not to renew my contract. I made numerous calls to their customer care to confirm when my contract is expiring. After my contract was cancelled I phone in again to confirm that it has been cancelled. I even received a "sorry to see you go" text message from them before my contract expired. Before the end of my contract I made a manual payment for 2 months. Month's installment and to be in advance for my last installment. Then on top of that a debit order went off my account again. Putting me in one month advance. When I phoned to query that the lady informed that the amount can be refunded to me. Now a call centre agent phones me 3 months after my contract expired to inform me that I owe them another months installment. Now how can a 24 month contract extend to 26 months. According to my records they owe me R220.00. Apparently my contract wasn't cancelled by that call centre agent at that time. How convinient for them to phone you 3 months later.
