Upgrade - phone out of stock

I upgraded my Vodacom contract via the Vodacom Rewards call centre on 15/7. Although I could have upgraded via another supplier who had stock of my preferred phone, the agent convinced me that it would be cheaper to upgrade directly with Vodacom. This option was also more convenient. The agent never indicated that my preferred phone was out of stock. Only after the upgrade was done did I receive a sms indicating that my order was on back order. I phoned -25/7 to enquiry about the delivery date. The agent confirmed that they will get their delivery on 29/7 and that I will receive my delivery on 30/7or31/7, thus still in time for my upgrade applicable from 1/8. I did not receive delivery as promised. I phoned again on 2/8. This time the agent indicated that they do not have an expected delivery date from the warehouse and that they cannot provide me with any expected delivery date. Although the agent indicated that I can cancel the upgrade if I get another supplier that has stock of the phone, this entails that my upgrade will be reversed and that the upgrade with the other supplier will only be applicable from 1/9. I have 3 contracts with Vodacom. Trust they will sort this urgently.
