I signed up a 24 month contract with Autopage which expired last year July.
My account was debited without consent even after the number was discontinued last year.
Upon complaint, I was advised the account details were properly updated and that my monies would be returned.
This week, 1 year later, I find out from ITC that they have been listing me as a late payer from the day my account was discontinued. My record shows that I have been owing them money for over 150 days.
When I phoned to sort this out 4 days ago, I was advised to pay a monthly subscription fee for a debit order that was blocked. Despite the fact that I owed them nothing, I paid this money because I was promised written confirmation about this account status update within 24 hours.
It's been 4 days now. And Autopage cannot even locate this extra subscription that was made by me a few days back.
I am in the process of applying for a home loan at the moment and I have a negative record because of a mix up from Autopage but all they keep saying is "we will contact you" with no reference number, or written confirmation of my calls.
This is really frustrating because I never ever reneged on a single debit order.
