I signed up for a cell phone contract with Cell C over the phone and got the device sometime early June. They took about two weeks to deliver from the initial application. Immediately after getting the device i called Cell C to cancel the contact with them. I got confirmation from the call centre agent that the contact was cancelled. The phone in question was not opened and remained sealed and was collected by Ram hand-hand-to-hand couriers in the month of July. Having said that, My account was debited this morning with the amount of R399. I got a hold of Cell C and the relevant department, they now tell me that the contract with them is not cancelled and is still active on their side. This is unacceptable as i called and cancelled the contract, the phone has been collected by Ram couriers so why am i being debited
