I ported my number from MTN to Cell C 2 months ago, the activation date was the beginning of June when the number was successfully ported.
I am still receiving bills from MTN, being deducted from my bank account, this month is the 2nd time it has happened and at R570 a time its a bit much. I have contacted my bank and told them that these transactions are now!
I have already been into numerous stores and they have called MTN and assured me that it has been cancelled and it was an error on MTN's part and that they had "forgotten" to deactivate my account, how this is not automated is beyond me, but i guess with MTN anything is possible. I was also assured I would receive a refund of the money i that was taken from my account, now it has just happened again.
