UNFAIR BILLING, AFTER CONTRACT WAS CANCELLED TWICE

I had a contract with Cell C - 2 years ago. I cancelled my contract with them because my Internet never seemed to work. A few months later i received a letter from VAN DER VENTER, MOJAPELO INC dated the 17th of July 2012, saying that i owe Cell C R760. I was shocked because i cancelled my contract with them and hadn't even received a bill in the mail from them or any letters communicating that i owe them money. I paid the R760 and faxed them the proof of payment and they told me that they cancelled the contract. I just received an sms from PHOLOSA debt collectors, saying that i owe Cell C R1000. i cannot pay this be case i DO NOT even have a contract with Cell C anymore! i cannot afford to pay for something that i am not even using. Its UNFAIR because it is Cell C's fault that they did not cancel my account when i requested them to TWICE.
