This is another incident in a series of events. Previous Hello Peter complaint on Mon the 1 Jul 13 at 16:38 has still not been sorted out. A representative contacted me and promised that he will send me a proof of our conversations (and promises) and as yet I have still not heard anything.
Yesterday I went to the Vodacom shop at Mooi river Mall to inquire about the cancellation procedures and weather I needed to inform Vodacom prior to ending the contract. The lady answered and I asked if I had to pay anything for September as my contract ends on the 5th. I provided her with the number in question.
I walked out and received a sms quote with reference:1263564. I went back to ask what she did and she informed me that the contract was cancelled with effect on 31/08/13. With no proof of identity my contract was terminated. Not that I am unhappy about it, it just proofs Vodacoms lacking earnestness in customers retention. Where is the care in customer care?
