I had three calls from Vodacom yesterday 25/07/2013 and I was told that someone is trying to do the sim swop on my number and I told Vodacom's agents that I have nothing to do with it and I was assured that no one will be allowed to do any changes on my number and my number will be flagged and there is a personal code that will be asked should someone try to do thie sim swop. This morning by 07:00 am, my sim card was blocked and when calling vodacom I'm told there sim swop was processed on my number. In order for me to get it activated i must go to the outlet with my rica documents or wait for 48 hours for Vodacom to activate my sim. It's very strange how I should bring docs. to get my sim activated yet the person they processed a sim for was not asked for any documents. I need my sim activated ASAP, a letter from vodacom acknowledging that they did not follow their procedure and should there be any fradulent activities on either my cell number or my bank account Vodacom will be held responsible. Person/s i spoke to at Vodacom is Sipho, Mr Khambule and Rashal Philies. I also find it strange that Vodacom couldn't provide me with any reference number of the calls they made to me.
