So I know there are numerous threads about cancellations and migrations of cell phone contracts etc, but i am in utter disbelief to the terms and conditions of Nashua Mobile.
I called to get my contract cancelled and to keep my number after it was cancelled. So i call and I speak to a very nice consultant who tells me that to cancel my contract 3 months earlier than its own ending, would be a small amount of R490ish, of which i am reluctant, but happy to pay as that's probably the contract cost for the next three months.[Fair Enough] Just before I say lets do that i ask when i will get my number back [a number I brought to nashua mobile originally, i was not given this number by the contract].
She said no no that she would need to quote me on a MIGRATION PENALTY, after waiting on the line for a further few minutes she comes back on the line and says it will be R2850 to keep my number and to cancel the contract!
R2850 to keep my OWN NUMBER!!!
R2850!!! I cannot believe that! i have had my contract for 4 years and this is how i get treated? i would like someone to explain to me the breakdown cost of this migration fee and why this is LEGAL!!!
