I have been a loyal Vodacom customer for several years now and was happy with their service. Things changed when they sent me a phone claiming I had won it. After I accepted the phone, I was told that it was in fact a contract phone and was obliged to pay for it. They also then linked the contract to my old prepaid number which they'd block if I didn't pay. After a while, I was notified that I owed money for a different phone (number) which I didn't even know about and again had to pay for it. When I finally got the second contract cancelled and enquired about the refund, I was told the money was used to pay off my other account. Now how is it used to py off my other account when I pay monthly for it? On Thursday I went to get a sim swap because I lost my phone (the one which was originally prepaid) and was told I owe money. I just want Vodacom to refund me. Cancel all the stupid contracts and I'll go over to another network. There has been months where I had to pay close to a thousand rands for the stupid phones.
