I have a 24 month contract with Autopage which was activated on 12 August 2009. For some reason my next upgrade date was only made in April 2011 and the other one in April 2013. I called Autopage before my upgrade date this year to confirm when it was due and when does my contract actually expire. I was informed that my upgrade date is in April and my contract expires in August. I then asked what I need to do to cancel my contract because I wanted to cancel it this year because it is unreasonably expensive. I was told that I need to call in a month before to cancel. I then asked if I can still do an upgrade in April and still cancel in August. The guy who I spoke to said I can do it, all I need to do is to phone in a month before the contract expiry date. On the 15th of July I called Autopage with an intention to cancel my contract in August and I was told that I cannot do it because I have just upgraded and my contract still has 26 months to expire. When I told them but I did ask about that and I was told that will not affect my cancellation. I would like to have this contract cancelled by August as per agreement and keep my number on prepaid.
