Cell C sends me SMSs almost every week, advertising phones, packages or competitions. I have asked their call centre consultants on two separate occasions to stop sending marketing messages to me, and I have tried replying with "STOP".
Advertising phones and services via SMS constitutes direct marketing in terms of the Consumer Protection Act. In terms of section 11 (2), I demand that you stop contacting me regarding ANY marketing or competition offers. If you continue to harass me, I shall file a complaint with the National Consumer Commission.
