I had a cellphone contract for my daugther at Altech Autopage. Initial contract signed in March 2006. After reenewing every second year for 3 times I decided to give it up. The contract expired in April 2012 and we duly gave notice exactly when required. Yesterday, to my dismay I accidentally discovered that I have a bad credit rating due to monies owed to Autopage. My good credit record has always been a priority and I am furious about this as it was on debit order with my bank. After lengthy phonecalls I reconciled my account and have an account that clearly states that there is R4.17 owning for the monthe of JUNE 2012!!! My contract should have been finalised by then but nevertheless how can I suddently owe R282.59??? This is ridiculous and I never received an account for this amont and view the statement showing R4.17 as final. No call were made after the "free time"!!! Please these people cannot continue to continue like this. I am taking the matter to the consumer council also. The account no is 0826127408 The worst part is my name has been destroyed by these people and I was not even aware of it. Apparently cell phone messages were sent well I would love to see proof of that
