I purchased 3 twenty four month Top Up 100 contracts with MTN in October 2011 for R59 per month each. The special promotion that accompanied the contracts was for a 10mb data bundle per contract for 12 months. After this period a R10 charge will be applicable per each data bundle. This would take each contract up to R69 per month for the duration of the agreement, ie balance of the12 months. Mtn charged me R59 per month, as agreed per contract, for the first 12 months, and thereafter R69 per month for the next month. For some reason, only known to them, I am now being charged R79 per month for the past 4 months. I have raised this as an issue with the billings dept more than a month and a half ago (ref 94954006). They refer me to the branch where the contracts were taken out. The branch in turn refers me back to Mtn's billing department. This is incredibly frustrating. The call centre is of no help. I have spoken to various people there who either have no clue about what they are meant to do, or alternatively cut the call. I need to have this resolved - failing which I will cancel my debit order, and sign up with a different service provider.
